Today, at one of Austria’s largest cultural gatherings — held annually in the historic Vienna City Hall (Rathaus) with representatives from over 100 countries — attendees were deeply moved by the resonant and soulful performance of Ustad Madadi.
„Oh homeland, your love is my pride…“ — his voice carried not just lyrics, but the spirit of a people.
This international event, supported by numerous embassies in Austria, offers a platform for nations to celebrate and share their diverse cultural heritage. Over the past four years, the Afghan Cultural Center in Austria (AKISEU) has proudly and responsibly represented the richness of Afghanistan’s authentic culture. With unwavering dedication, AKISEU has become a shared home for all Afghans — a home that, even beyond the country’s borders, stands as a genuine ambassador of national culture and unity, not just in words, but through meaningful action.
Our mission is clear: to stand against extremism, violence, and ethnic division. It is through our presence in such global cultural arenas — through our music, our traditional dress, and our peaceful message — that we promote the values of harmony, peace, and friendship.
In closing, the author extends heartfelt gratitude to the passionate and committed AKISEU team, whose tireless efforts made this valuable representation of Afghanistan possible at such a significant international event.
